Many of the items on our menu are handed down recipes from Gary’s family. We originally opened our doors on Bell Street where Walgreen’s is located now.

We sold out to Walgreen’s and moved across the street sideways to a spot in Puckett Plaza shopping center, where we stayed until 2010, when we were able to purchase land from the shopping center, and build our very own building, opening the new Buns Over Texas and our new water and tea store called Texas Tea, Premium Water and Ice. We are thrilled to be in our new building, which operates efficiently, and is very inviting, due to our careful planning and designing.

One of the things we take pride in at Bun’s is grinding, weighing, and hand patting our own patties, Fresh, every day, carefully seasoning each. Another part to our success is the length to which we go to provide quality menu items by cutting our own meats and breading by hand, our fish, chicken fried steaks, steak fingers, onion rings, and fresh veggie fries. We don’t order frozen and breaded foods. It’s all fresh and hand breaded. We also make our own tarter sauce and ranch dressing, using old family recipes. Our cheese used for our famous cheese fries, is a combination of 2 cheeses that we grate ourselves.

We carry and sell lots of gluten free buns, and offer many menu items aimed at healthy living, such as our new naked burgers. It’s a burger wrapped in leaf lettuce, and being totally healthy, along with our veggie fries, which are carrots, asparagus, and fresh green beans. They are flash fried with no breading, and served with our great ranch dressing. But our newest and most exciting addition to Buns is the addition of our giant tea bar. We offer 18 flavors of tea to our customers. Our tea is brewed with RO water, which makes the difference in our tea. RO water is the best water for health.

Other purified water, such as distilled water, is not meant for human consumption. RO water is purified to the extent of taking all impurities out and leaving the healthful minerals in, which are needed for proper and healthy function of our organs. The flavonoids in tea adhere to the minerals, giving our tea the richest flavor you can derive for brewed tea.
